What Did You Do Today?

Not much. Tis the time of year that my car is due for inspection. I knew there were some issues I had to take care of before hand.

Fortunately my brother is a mechanic, but that's been about the only thing that's been fortunate.

Started off pulling the code to see why the SES light is on...not good news there (though there is a possibility that previous work done knocked off a hose, and that it may just need replacing...and I wont need a whole new air pump etc.)

But main issue was the passenger side front axle needed replacing...first bit of news...needed brakes (no surprise there)...axle fights tooth and nail and just did not want to come out. In the mean time, darn ball join is bad, which means I need to buy a while new control arm...grrrr.

The problem with owning a foreign car, parts are not readily available, everything has to be friggin' ordered...surprisingly the control arm I ordered Monday, didn't get shipped until today, so looks like another weekend stuck in the house w/no car. *sighs*

Getting a bit of cabin fever to say the least.

Today was pretty much like the rest of the week. In training all week. Then went out for Mexican food for a change of pace.
I did have a bowl of McClelland PMP.. which was a pleasant treat..

I'm still working till late every night on my moolight bidness. Now I doing some design for a ginormous apartment complex that will be built in Joplin Missouri. The tornado that hit there about a year ago obliterated nearly the whole city and there is a lot of construction to rebuild it. After that project, I have a few mega churches, a shopping center, a high rise in Oklahoma City, another huge apartment complex in Broken Arrow Oklahoma, and a municipal bulding in Springdale Arkansas. I'm going to be a busy little boy for the next several months. Oh well, maybe the extra money will pay for a couple more pipes.

Today was a cabin fever day. 71* out and basically sat inside and got annoyed at everything. Now the weekend is here and the cooler temps are coming with it.

Ouch, sorry to hear about the car Paul. I know you had bad feelings, but damn. I hope it turns out to be the minor things.

I went out and hung around with a few of the guys from the West GA Pipe Club. We had a good time sampling some blends and shooting the breeze around the fire pit for a few hours. It was nice to get out for a while other than to go to work for a change.

Control Arm arrived for the car this morning...

Good news, car should be fixed by the end of the weekend...bad news, my brother wrecked is car the other day (fortunately he's okay), so I'll get the use of my car back, but I wont be able to use it, since he'll need to "borrow" it.

Have to admit, my bro is accident prone...and this makes me nervous.
