Ebay help/suggestions.

Hi,

As soon as I get through working through my income tax prep, I will have more time to devote to my cob mods. I would like to try to sell some on Ebay. I have never really done much with Ebay so I have a couple of questions.

What kind of title or description or key word or whatever is most likely to draw attention? I want to play fair, no misleading statements to draw people in.

Any help or advice you give will be appreciated. And probably lead to more questions.

Searching for 'smoking pipes' brings up all the baccy pipes on ebay. 'tobacco' would probably keep out some of the stoners looking for bongs, but I'd say 'smoking pipe' would be the most important. 'Unsmoked' would be a good word to add. 'Tobacciana' is ebay's category for smoking pipes. Most pipe guys accept returns, either within 7 days or 14, but you have to decide if you want to do that.

Obviously, good pictures are what sells on ebay, where you have to buy the item without touching it.

Definitely good pictures, perhaps offer combined shipping so it would be more tempting for one person to bid on two auctions.

Oh and dimensions would be a plus ... taking a pic with something such as a ruler is always helpful.

The suggestions mentioned are good ones. You might want a buy it now feature too. I am not sure if they cost extra but that might help with sales. Sometimes I do a buy now search because I get tired of the bidding wars.

I think good pictures are the most important to me while trolling EBay. Give them a shot of every side & inside the bowl.
