    Got Me a New Shotgun!!

Our neighborhood has been having a rash of break ins and home invations lately, so I thought we needed a little home protection. I bought a portable generator awhile back and completely rebuilt it to brand new condition. Well a friend just stopped by today and informed me he was interested in purchasing it or trading for it. He then went out to his truck and returned with a Remington model 870 express tactical 12 gauge pump shot gun! This gun is like brand new, he said it's been shot maybe 10 times. He said his wife didn't want it in the house because of their teenage boys, they are troublesome teens!! We agreed to a trade, the generator straight up for the gun!! He included three boxes of shells and original sales reciept. I haven't shot it yet but will tomorrow evening!!!

Thanks! The shotgun sells for around $700.00 new, the generator is a 7000 watt and sells for around $800.00 new. I think it was a good and fair trade!!!

I think the scariest sound someone breaking into a house could hear would be the slide being pulled on a pump shotgun. You did good.

Good weapon...not sure it's the best for home protection. You need to pick up some bird shot for that thing...a shot to the head will stop any aggressive behavior, and is less likely to penetrate sheet rock in the wall behind an intruder. I keep my 7.62x25 Tokarev close at hand, and Pat has her .22 mag with hollow points beside the bed on her side. Our .410 w/bird shot is propped above the head board.

    Come on in! Muaa-haaa-ha-ha!

Yeah, but they'll never hear it...there's already one in the chamber.
