Red face Sergeant Miller's "Kettle Moraine"

In eastern Wisconsin, you will find an unequaled, simplistic beauty known as the "Kettle Range".

    Taken from Wikipedia:
"The moraine is dotted with kettles caused by buried glacial ice that calved off the terminus of a receding glacier and got entirely or partly buried in glacial sediment and subsequently melted. This process left depressions ranging from small ponds to large lakes and enclosed valleys."

I know these areas well, and I long for a return to see these sites once again this coming autumn. This is the inspiration for my newest blend.

Fresh, Red Virginia's provide a hay-like aroma and flavor to embody the harvest of fall. Slightly matured long-cut Virginia is used to slow down the burn and provide a bit of a bready flavor, not uncommon with the baking of home made bread during this season. Stoved, yellow Virginia's are also included, as the slight tang reminds me of biting into a fresh picked macintosh apple. Izmir Turkish is added for a bit of interest. The quality of this unique tobacco provides an overall crispness, almost making it dry...to coincide with the autumn air. Finally, a decent amount of Perique is added to spice it all up. Spices are of the season, and Perique does it well.

This is the latest creation. If interested, PM me and I will do my best to send some your way. Thanks everyone!

Ian, I don't think you know how to make a bad blend and this should be no exception.

That sounds like a wonderful blend, Ian! I'm sure it'll be just as good as the others of your's I've tried!

Sergeant Miller's "Kettle Moraine" ROCKS. Thanks to a very generous blender (Ian) I had the pleasure of trying this marvelous blend. Easy to light, burns to the bottom of the bowl, sweet, creamy. spicy, and just exceptionally delicious.
