The second pipe I received in the gift package was an older WDC with a gold stamped WDC in a triangle on the shank. The stem is Bakelite or Redmanol. The band is golden coloured and has some interesting scalloping on it. Here are a couple pictures of it when I took it from the box. The stem was overturned and the button had a large chunk out of it. It has a bone tenon so it made for some interesting work.
Here it is with the stem straightened and the tenon fixed. I also repaired the missing part of the stem with super glue. Here are some pictures of the finished pipe.
