I would love to see the following

a chat window that is always on top so we can tell if there is a conversation happening and add to it easier

a window that show us who is in the chat room that is always visable

Mitch I don't care for our chat room format either.

It does tend to get forgotten down there at the bottom of the page.

I'm going to disable the chatroom we have and try out a commercial version that has a bar at the bottom and functions similar to the FB chat.

We'll try it for a week and see what you guys think. If you like it then I'll pay to keep it for you
