    Not a bad idea...

Back when the History Channel was actually showing stuff on History they had a show on Cemeteries and Burial methods.

One of the modern day options was to have ashes sent up into space.

I was 20 years old when Neil Armstrong landed on the moon. Everything stopped and I don't think anyone breathed until the words "Tranquility Base here, the Eagle has landed' were uttered. A glorious moment for humankind.

Personally, I was not quite 2 months old on that day, but as I'm sure a lot of other young mothers did, mine held me on her lap in front of the TV to bear witness to a defining moment in human history with great hopes for the future of her child. I wish there were something these days that could give us such hope for our children.

I was 12 when Apollo 11 landed on the moon. I remember it like it was only a few weeks ago. It was an exciting time to be an American, and we thought there wasn't anything we couldn't accomplish. I hope we go back to the moon, and on to Mars before I die. I'm really disappointed we haven't already made it there. At any rate, RIP Commander Armstrong, you were a true American hero that will never be forgotten!

In 1969 I was 14 and the country was in upheaval about a war, a politics out of control and social change that seemed like it was tearing us apart. Niel and his comrades in NASA was something we could all point to and say, now that was cool. We need those people again, those men with the right stuff. A salute Commander, I wish we had more like you now.
