Didn't lose power til noon today.
    I'm on the generator now.
Plenty of crap to clean up and
there's still a long way to go.
This is one hell of a destructive
storm for a wimpy Cat 1.

It's been downgraded back to a tropical storm, so it can only get better from here on out. I guess that is easy for me to say sitting here under blue skies and sunshine huh? Hope you don't get to much damage Hermit!!

This one was a surprise. The sucker just kinda stopped.
There were some places that flooded worse than Katrina.
Ya can't ever take these storms lightly. My wife heard
somebody on TV say that the new barrier in East NO
really saved the city from a lot more storm surge.
It's tryin' to drag its ass past me now. It's raining
steadily, but it's not very windy. I have a lot of
shit to clean up and no power, but I'm OK.
I have TV, Internet and my refrigerator on generator.

Stay safe mate, the main threat when Katrina passed wasn't the wind force itself but the storm surge and flooding.

Look after yourself and keep us updated if you can please!

Glad to hear you're ok, and have power back.
