How many blends have you tried?
I've tried about 100 blends but I'm likely a novice compared to many of you. Many of the blends I've smoked over the last 40 years are now unavailable. Some of those were wonderful and some were awful.
A pipe gives a wise man something to fiddle with as a means of gaining time to formulate an intelligent answer. It gives a fool something to stick into his mouth.

According to the spreadsheet som'eres around 86.
Add in the few not entered into the sheet prolly between 90 and 100.
At this point it's really hard to try new stuff, rarely anything introduced that intrigues me that much.
But the exploring has been fun!
Snus, Snuff and Briar, what more can a soul require?
Enjoy your tobacco,

I would guess I'm a lot nearer to one hundred than fifty, and I think I've got close to forty different things in the old cellar, some I smoke, some that I keep thinking I'll come back to. My short list of things I do want to try is getting shorter than it used to be, though, as I'm finding myself more often wanting to enjoy something with a proven track record than I do wanting to take a chance on some new thing. I have a small handful of tins in the cellar that I haven't cracked open yet, so when the urge to explore strikes, I have options other than going to the pipe store.
