Thanks all !!!
What a friggin' hectic week...interview, pee test...baby sitting, house sitting...and followed up with dog sitting....all on top of trying to get my ducks in a row for a side business I am trying to start up come the new year...fortunately my Aunt and Uncle will front the start up fees, but working on the business and repayment plan has been less that pleasurable...hehe
Official start date is 8/27...woo hooo...now trying to get back in to the routine of waking up to an alarm clock that goes off at the ass crack of dawn...
Fortunately that will only last a week, two tops, whilst training is occurring before moving on to a 1500-2230 shift. Looking forward to that since I will be driving through one of the bigger tourist tra.....destinations in PA (Hershey).

Well, since nobody here lives in my area, I don't mind spitting it out.
It is a photo business. The up coming fad is portable photo booths (kind of like what used to be in malls and such back in the pre-digital days)...they get rented out to for weddings, kids parties, company parties, etc. Been a nice demand for them over the last several years, but not enough people supplying to meet said demand !
So the hope is, to get settled in with the one booth, then after it's up and running I can expand my market and cover almost from Philly west to South Central PA...that is, until others jump in.

That's interesting, didn't know such a thing was on the rise. I'd assume these would be offering something other than wallet sized prints?

Yeah I had been reading about it in some of the photo mags I get.
I wanted to do it when I got home from Germany last year, but when my car tanked, it wiped out my savings...it's not expensive for a business, but it's a lot of money to ask to borrow when you don't have a method of paying it back.
And sorta on the print size, it's still the same size strips you'd get out of the old b&w photo booths. But it has software that will allow users to not only print out photo's, but also instantly share them on facebook. But some outfits would give me the ability to offer my customer all the prints on a CD/DVD. And since it is using a rather decent digital camera, they'll be able to make their own prints up to roughly 8x10.
And what I'm doing, is what seems to be popular, is you rent the machine with costumes, so people can do the old fashioned dress up type pics.
But what's nice about it is...it's a set up and forget kind of thing. I set up the booth...remain on site for any needed tech support, and let them have at it...with the average rental being 2-4 hours.

Sounds as though it could be fun.
Only down side might be cleaning up the booth after drunken groomsmen and the like are done with it!
