Thanks for all the replies so far. It's good to have more pipe or cigar smokers in the family!

My dad used to smoke a pipe. My uncle does and is a fairly well known proponent for pipe smoking. Their father did as well. I also heard that either my great grandmother or great great grandmother did as well. I've heard stories how they walked all the way here to MN when they arrived from the old country. I've heard she was puffing her pipe the whole way.

My grand father on my dad's side of the family smoked cigarettes, and an occasional pipe. Unfortunately, he died when I was only 6 years old so we never got to smoke together. I wish I had thought to ask for his pipes after he died, but was too young to think about it.

A few months back I had sent a "care" package to my nephew. He wasn't new to pipe smoking, per say, but he never had a pipe of his own.

So I had sent him a bunch of different tobaccos and a really nice Sav pipe from their EX line, plus a few other pipes I picked up from a pipe maker on another forum...turns out, as I've recently learned...that my niece has "stolen"...so I now have a niece and a nephew smoking a pipe.

They're coming out later this month for a visit, have a feeling I may need to lock up my tobacco cellar.

Got my love of pipes from my grandfather...he died early...only 96 years old. Pop was a non-smoker, but was tolerant of my folly.
My #2 son smoked pipe and cigars for years, until this latest wife. I'm getting back some of the pipes he "borrowed" now...not sure what happened to his baccy stash. Now he chews and spits....that'll teach her!
My son-in-law will sit and have an occasional pipe with me, but is really just an occasional puffer. He likes to light up when we're out on the lake fishing, or sitting here on the patio.
