First impressions is that it isn't the same Angler's Dream that Russ gave out free samples of when he first developed it last summer.
But with that said, I've had two bowls in two different pipes so far, and this is the first blend I've had that has had such a drastic change in flavor profile from pipe to pipe (At least for me anyway).
To start, it's got hints of Chocolate, Cinnamon and Honey in the tin note. Very pleasing. The first pipe, the Boswell "Swirl" chamber is a bit of a narrower chamber and last night I was getting more of a tobacco flavor with hints of chocolate and if you released the smoke through your nose, the cinnamon showed up a bit.
Today, I lit a bowl in the Boswell Volcano, a slightly bigger but wider chamber and it's smoking more like an aromatic, I'm really catching more of the flavoring of chocolate and honey (again, cinnamon is there, but very light), and some of the burley nutty and VA sweetness as well.
As is typical of many of Russ's blend, the tobacco is dry and ready to go with out any drying time, burns extremely well (puff slow and tamp you can get a bowl with no relights pretty easily).
I have 2 blends then I can smoke to the very bottom with out being goopy wet, this is now 1, the other is (strangely) another Russ blend.
I can see myself smoking this all day every day for while, but the fact that it only comes in a 14oz tub is a bit of a downfall, it's a lot of tobacco to take a chance on. But so far, glad I did.

Barbary Coast is probably one of my favorite blends. I can be found smoking this in the largest pipe I can find when I'm about ready to sit down and watch a marathon or long movie.
Even though it says it has hints of chocolate and dried fruits, they mostly show up in the room note, but it's a great VA/Per blend.

Woohoo, I finally got my Christmas order in! I stocked up on H&H Anniversary Kake (6x 8oz tins) because of their December sale. I rounded the order off with some Esoterica. The 8 oz bag of Dorcester actually arrived in stock and came with my order. I'm just waiting on one now.
