    The pipe rules. The occasional cigar, maybe one/two a month for variety, but they don't hold my interest for long. Never was tempted by that other stuff......

    Gave up cigarettes 37 years ago after having smoked them for 18 years. Smoked great Habanos for 35 years but had to stop due to the expense. Pipes have outlasted them all - 50 years and still going strong.

    I gave up smoking 36 years ago taking up the pipe may of 2012.... so much nicer

    I quit smoking cigarettes a month ago and had to stop smoking the pipe as well because of the nicotine addiction.

    You guys that gave up cigs but smoke a pipe, did you have trouble at first? I'm reticent to start back for fear it will lead me back to cigs. Was there a timeframe where you just had to wait to ensure the nicotine addiction wouldn't come back?
