Adding and Joining "Groups"

ETA: I see in a few instances I used the term "Private Group" please note that I actually mean "Invite Only".

Keep an eye out, a couple other Group related tips will show up here..

For starters...you can check for "New Group Messages" to do so (if somebody knows of another way, please chime in)...

To do so, from the PSU home page, click "Forum", the click "New Posts", after you click that, an option for "New Group Messages" will appear.

Only warning, and maybe it's just me...but it seems like once you click that, any new messages go away...meaning if you click "New Group Messages" and there's several new ones...if you click New Group Messages again, it will show that there are no new messages

However, each group will show the time and thread last updated in the Group menu.

Paul, it seems that for me it does that only if the session times out....

Hmmm...seems to have a mind of it's own...because it will show there have been no new messages, yet...I go in and look and there's been new messages since my last visit...

But my next "tip" will pretty much take care of needing to check for new group messages anyway...but I gotta do screen prints for that one...and they take a while...and, well, between that and that "Guessing Game" I'm a bit computer fatigued...lmao

That guessing game is wearing me out too.........we need more members to get in and spread the load........

also you can see the old messages by Clicking 'Here' in the no new messages message........

D'oh, I figured out what I was doing...it's a habit I have that now I don't even realize I'm doing it...I open everything up in a new tab/window...so, I get the no "new message" because, well, there isn't any...hehehe, yeah, just a wee bit tired.
